READING Matthew 28
Romans 12
As you= go, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to keep all things, whatever I’ve directed you=

I know it looks like there is. But trust me. There is no “I” in Christian. I’m not saying it should be Chrwestwean. I’m saying something much much deeper, and much more important.
You are not called to be an isolated Christian. You are called to be part of a body. Part of a whole. And that body is designed to be working together to bring about God’s purposes on this planet.
If you’re a Christian, and you’re not part of that body. Something is wrong. Drastically wrong. You need to fix that.
When we read the word “you” in the New Testament, we don’t know whether it means you as a group, or you individually. If you have a Newberry Bible, or the Little Watchman Translation (which you can get for free here by the way), you will be able to see whether this is singular or plural. Most often it is plural. Most often, it is a command, or instruction, or advice, or teaching for a group of people, not for you as an individual. And it is meant to be taken and acted upon by the group acting together.
The Great Commission has a you in it… Yeshua said, “As you= go, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to keep all things, whatever I’ve directed you=.”
The yous are both plural! He’s saying it to a crowd, not to one person. How does that change how you see this command?
Most of us would have heard this as, “As I go, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to keep all things, whatever he’s directed me.” But you can’t do it all can you! There is no way you can personally go to every nation and disciple them, baptising them. And that’s not what he’s saying anyway!
What if we’re part of that crowd and we hear, “As we go, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to keep all things, whatever he’s directed us.” Now that is doable. If we do it as a team.
You- personally don’t have to do it all. But you have to be part of the team that is doing it. Maybe you’re a team leader. Maybe you’re a teacher. Maybe you’re a baptiser. Maybe you’re a driver. Maybe you make the coffee or feed the crowd. Maybe you’re stuck at home and you pray for the team. How big or small your role is on the team is not important. The team needs you to do your bit so we can all be successful together.
Ask Yeshua to show you what role he has in mind for you on his team. Ask him to make you the best one of those you can possibly be.
You will be so satisfied with your life when he does that and you fulfil your destiny as a member of his body.
